Yes, it's expensive. Yes, I am so sick of buying cheap liquid soap dispensers that fall apart. I'm pretty sure that I have spent at least as much buying junky liquid soap dispensers during the past 10 years.

This comes with a lifetime guarantee; I even called Kohler and they said they would replace the pump if it stopped working. It is very solid and I love the feel of it, the quantity of soap that comes out and the smooth motion of the dispenser.

I do believe that this may be the last soap dispenser I ever have to buy!!! I am pleased with it. I'll update if I have any problems with it.

UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER: I have yet to have a single problem with them (I have 2): LOVE THIS DISPENSER!

It's a great looking dispenser & goes perfectly with the rest of the Purist line in my bathroom.

The problem is with the dispensing of soap. For some reason the clear soap I use (Mrs Meyer's) starts turning green after a few weeks. There's some kind of corrosion or mildew/mold buildup in the pump.

Because of this, I no longer use this item.

I have had 3 of these now. Works OK for a week or so and then it gets hard to push and will not return after a push.

I had a cheep plastic $2.00 pump from Target for 7 years and no problem.

I am going to send it back again for a forth one.

The pump is very cheep, you would think they would have a better pump for the price of this thing.

First one I could find that actually matches chrome fixtures (most I find are nickel with a yellowish tint)

Works very well and looks great

Only small issue is that the soap holder does not hold a ton of liquid soap so if you use a lot you will be refilling quite a bit
