FrogsFeet Large Suction Cups with Hooks, 4-Pack

I only needed 2 suction cups but once I tried this product I was really glad there were 4 in a pack. I used the first two to hold a bath pillow in place. It gets really heavy when wet and nothing else developed enough suction to hold the pillow stationary for more than a few seconds. I tried the expensive cups that have a lever action center post that supposedly locks the cup in place. There is no comparison. Lots of suction cups can develop impressive grip strength against a force at right angle to the surface to which it is attached. This device is unexcelled in shear strength. These FrogFeet cups come with a special tab so you can peal up the suction edge. Without that tap these cups are not budging. The cup itself is surprisingly soft and gives the impression that it will not become rigid and lose its grip like so many others.

Don't even think about using the hook part to pull the suction cup off. On a smooth surface such as glass or porcelain, the grip force is just remarkable. The hook part swivels on a center post to which it is well attached. This hook comes with a plastic cap or sleeve which is visible in the picture. I have already lost one of them, but the metal seems to be corrosion resistant, so it is not a big problem for me. This is the only reason I did not give these 5 stars, but even at four stars these so outperform the competition that I will never settle for old style suction cups.

The composition of the plastic is so conforming that it seems to fill the microscopic voids in Formica and other surfaces which are problematic for other suction cups. I can't wait to see what comes next. Instead just a hook, I want to see a small one with a bulldog clip, so I can use them to attach papers to my file cabinet.

I did a quick review of similar products, and purchased this along with a more expensive option. These worked MUCH better. I planned to use them on a painted drywall surface, and I was a bit worried that the seal wouldn't be as good as glass or glazed tile. But these worked great on the drywall....very secure. They have been hanging without fail for the past few weeks, in a bathroom with a fair amount of humidity. Not only were these far less expensive than the other option, but far more effective....and you get 4 of them. Great value, great product!

These are really strong and easy to apply. They look like they could be junk, but they aren't. Similar looking suction cups might be made out of a thick inflexible plastic, but these are relatively thin and pliable, so they easily conform to a much tighter suction.

I have found that I can use these to hold up a pot or pan weighing a few pounds.

They are just wonderful.

Even though I am a long time Amazon shopper...I mean years, I have never taken the time to write a review. But this time I must. We recently remodeled our bathroom and I purchased a teak corner shelf to go in the shower. When it came the suction cups would not hold it up. I loved the shelf and wanted to use it so I searched for other suction cup options and found the FrogsFeet. I had to modify them for my purposes (remove the hooks) but they have worked unbelieveably GREAT!!!! If you are reading this, I am not prone to over-stating things....if you want to hold something up via suction this is it.
