Pfister BTB-YP5Y Ashfield 24-Inch Double Towel Bar, Tuscan Bronze

We bought this double bar for our master bath to go with our faucet and other towel/paper holders from the Ashfield line. Looks great, and I love the efficiency of the double bar. However, we have now gone through three that have broken and had to be replaced in less than 6 months. The first two were damaged upon receipt/in shipment (the second a replacement for the first and damaged as well) and the other just fell apart as I slipped a towel off of it the other day. It's the "knobs" that stick out from the mounted ends that hold the bars between them that just don't seem to be attached well enough. Amazon customer service was great in replacing the damaged in shipment ones, but I have yet to see how it goes with this one that has hung for a few months. Like I said, love the bar, but wish it held up better especially considering the price and expected quality.

I bought 3 of towel bars for remodeling a summer home; they are made in China and they must have been packed by complete incompetents or there was no supervision from the company; the tightening screws were LOOSELY packed separate from the rest of the hardware; when I opened the package the 2 screws flew out and I could only find one; I emailed PP and they opened a "portal" account for the complaint; they advised me that they do not have replacement screws but would replace the entire towel bar but they needed pictures; I asked them why they needed pictures if all I wanted was the tightening screws it's clear that I have the rest; they demanded pictures and would not accept website pictures from the seller; I am not always up at the summer home so it took some time to bring it down and take pictures at home to upload and send; they closed the case in the meantime as solved!!!

BOTTOM LINE: CRAPPY PACKING AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Kinda pricey, but looks nice & functions just fine. I'm happy with this & the toilet paper holder. The towel hook, however, had to be exchanged & I'm still not thrilled w/ it b/c it seems loose.

This product was so easy to put together. Great looking, and it holds 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels. I do suggest using stronger screws but don't throw away the screws for the center caps!
