InterDesign Rain Tension Caddy, Sand/Bronze

We purchased this item to replace one identical to it, that had begun to rust. The quality of this one was not as good as the older one we were replacing. The older one had a nice clear coat over the paint to help delay the rusting out process. The new one does not. Unless you are getting Stainless Steel, these shower towers are going to rust at some point. Our old one made it 4 years. I don't think this one will last as long, judging from how thin of a paint job it has. It is very easy to scratch off the paint, just in the installation process.

The worst thing was that one of the 4 shelves could not be installed because the threaded hole that the adjustment screw fits into, was stripped out. I tried to contact the manufacturer to see if they would replace the defective part. I did not have any luck getting them to call me back.

I gave this item 3 stars because it is very hard to find these oil rubbed bronze shower towers. We tried all of the home improvement stores and they all carry stainless steel and plastic. We could not find this color to match all of our other bronze bathroom fixtures. So we worked hard to keep this, only because we couldn't find a better substitute anywhere else.

One other note, we had trouble installing it because they only give you one adjustment piece to adjust how tall the shower tower is. We worked and worked on it, it was either too short using the smaller adjustment leg or too tall using the regular piece. We finally had to make our own "adjustment" by cutting one of the sections. If the manufacturer had only included one more of the super short adjustment pieces, it would have worked fine. But they only give you one super short adjustment section, so you only get one possible adjustment.

We are very pleased with this shower caddy. The color and design are lovely. It is quite sturdy with plenty of storage space for shampoo, conditioner body wash etc. There are a couple of hooks that are handy as well. The design also lends to ease in cleaning. Overall I would strongly recommend this product we purchased at Amazon.

I bought this because it had decent reviews. Let me start by saying this was garbage right out of the box. The spring/tension rod could not be adjusted at all it was completely jammed. I called the company and they sent me a replacement. The replacement that they sent me was two pipes with no spring that served no purpose. Save your money.

This product is feminine, yet earthy, and practical. No one likes tension rods but once you find that sweet spot, works perfectly. Fits most all places and comes with multiple extension rods to fit your space. The tinted hard plastic is very appealing and matches my earthy tan and brown bath decor as well as earthy creams, smoky blues, and mossy greens. Unfortunately, the matching shower caddy that hangs on the shower-head has been discontinued, I was able to find like 3 left in the world and was able to order one from a retail store in New York for only $18.99. So I lucked out and now have a matching set! The storage and holding capacity is great and you can choose which sections are in what location, for example, if I wanted to keep the triangle section with the razor and loofah/washcloth hooks at the top so my razor is less exposed to water and subsequently, rust, I can, I can customize my four tiers. I really love this product!
