InterDesign Formbu Over-the-Door Triple Towel Bar

As these kinds of over door hangers go--this one is ok. I didn't have huge expectations. Easy to assemble. But you should note that the dimensions are not 24 inches--but only 17 inches wide. You can put a bath towel on it if you fold it lengthwise.

Rental apartments never seem to have more than one towel rack installed in the master bathroom. This never made any sense to me. Our particular apartment didn't really have room to install an additional towel rack on the walls, so I was looking for a good over-the-door rack.

I initially bought this rack. Big mistake! The bamboo is not sealed, so over time and damp towels being placed on it, the stain on the bamboo leached out onto my (white!) towels and began to grow mold. Gross! Also, though it was a 3-tier towel rack, only 2 were really usable.

In looking for a better (long lasting, non-towel-staining) replacement I came across the InterDesign York Over-the-Shower-Door Towel Rack Combo which is 10 times better and suited our needs perfectly! Funny that the two different products are from the same company, but radically different in quality.

The York design looks great on the back of our bathroom door. It goes have a decent sized hook to go over the top of the door too much space for our door, so I used a few photo-mount pads to keep the rack snug against the door and keep it from rattling. Never rusted, allowed enough room to hang an extra towel and bathrobe without causing mold or stains.

Anyone looking to add some extra space in a room without the fuss of installing should get the York rack. Whatever you do, don't get the Bamboo Triple Towel Bar!

The bamboo and metal are hidden by the towels so the aesthetics are lost, unfortunately. Also, had they just made the racks wider, and the space in between racks wider --it would function beautifully and be a luxury towel rack. Instead, it seems they cut corners to save money, and as I believe usu happens, will lose money instead due to a poor design and service ethic. We were disappointed. Again, I can only say that this is nice and affordable, but I would keep looking. (I didn't have the energy to return, etc.) Functioning okay in our guest bath. Thanks, anyway, guys. The bars have a tendency of coming out of the frame have to glue it. But otherwise it looks wonderful. I Recommend it.
