Gatco 4684 24-Inch Channel Double Towel Bar, Chrome

I bought this some time ago but due to other priorities (including remodeling the bathroom they are installed in!) I just got it installed tonight. The towel rack is really nice and makes a great addition to a contemporary bathroom. The ability to hold two towels is a great feature as well. The mounting is easy and it comes with heavy duty (plastic) anchors that have wings that open to grip the other side of the wall. In my case however, I had 3 of the 4 screws mounted in a stud. The shipping box has a template on the back of it along with instructions use a level to make sure it is installed properly.

For the price, you cannot beat this towel rack (look at the prices from other manufacturers!). It is metal and have a nice solid feel to it once mounted (I was a little worried initially because it could be twisted around the bars connection points, but once mounted it is nice and solid the bars are hollow though). The only concern I had not thought about was that due to the dual towel rack design it sticks out further from the wall than a normal one. Not a big deal but just something to bear in mind if you have a tiny bathroom.

If you like this design (I got the satin nickel) this is for you. The color perfectly matches my Kohler satin nickel shower handles which is a true satin nickel as opposed to my Pegasus sink faucet which has a yellowish tinge should prob replace that ;)

Shipping was also fast so bottom line great product!

ps: The internet "standard" height for mounting a towel rack is 48". This works well in my situation.

We installed this double towel bar in the master bath of a new home that we purchased in June. They should be installed into a stud due to the extra weight of having 2 towels hanging from it. Having done that, the bar is sturdy and very attractive for a contemporary style. Well worth the money.

I found them very good these bars for hanging towels.

They are light. Assemble quickly. I hope you finish last and will not spoil the paint.

It has two bars, which in a house hanging space is needed.

Received this Friday, installed today. Really nice finish, goes with every other bathroom accessory nicely.

Was easy to install. Directions say to use a 5/16 drill bit, but I didn't have one, so I used a 1/4 bit. I think the 1/4 bit makes for a more secure fit. You will have to use a bit more elbow grease to get the anchor in, but again, you get a more secure fit.

The only negative I have is that the bar isn't one solid piece. Until it's installed, it's rather flimsy.
