OXO Steel Lift and Lock Shower Caddy

I've tried a couple differnt shower caddy's. Plastic and chrome. Plastic had a shelf that would collect mold, and the only way to clean it was to remove the entire caddy. Fixed shelves with no adjustment possible. The chrome ones would start to rust, and soap buildup on the wire shelves was always hard to clean unless you removed the caddy. The shelves were fixed in place, so there was no adjusting them at all.

This caddy locks securely and confidently onto the shower head. the 4 suction cups provide secure connection at the base. The shelves are fully adjustable so you can fix them where you are comfortable with. Once they are locked in place they are not moving. The shelf inserts can be removed for cleaning. You don't have to remove the entire shelf to clean it.

The only negative I found is that 2 of the suction cups were deformed when I received it. I've contacted OXO to see if they can be replaced.

One thing that made me a little nervous at first is that the entire unit pivots a small amount on the suction cups. Better it give if you accidentally bump into it.

Overall a very good product. I was even able to set one of the shelves low enough for my wife to use.

Always disappointed with shower caddies in the past, mostly due to rust, I was cautiously optimistic about this one, but had a deal, so I went ahead and ordered it. It delivers very well in most areas. It says right on the package "Rust Proof"! It doesn't say 'resistant', or 'less rust' or some other wishy-washy statement, flat out rust proof. So I hope I've eliminated that annoying issue. The shelves are adjustable, and easily so they lift up, slide up and down, and then snap into place just as expected. The "C" clamp that hooks onto the shower head isn't the best, but none of them are really outstanding. The issue with it is that while it has a piece of rubber on it, it can slide a little bit. I ended up putting another small piece of tubing inside of it to have a better sense that it will stay in place. I saw another review that was unhappy with the clamp as well. I agree that it's not great, but not terrible, either. It comes with some great little attachments, including a cup for your razors, and a little clip-on shaving mirror, which I like. The shelves are hard plastic with vent holes to drain water, and one shelf has circular holes intended to hold shampoo bottles upside down to. One other complaint I have is that there's no great way to hang a scrunchie on it. There's one rounded hook on the bottom that they say is for that, but I need to hang two scrunchies, and it just doesn't work their way. I ended up getting two small plastic hooks that I hung from one of the metal racks, and now I hang my scrunchies on that. So, overall, I'm pleased a lot of plusses, and a couple minor negatives, which can be overcome. I think you'll be happy, too. Four stars.

I was so disappointed in this product after many good experiences with the OXO brand. This caddy is way too expensive for what you get. The configuration is odd, unstable and not compatible with many shower heads.

The Oxo lift and lock shower caddy was a disappointment. It looked good on the site and in its bubble package, but looks are deceiving here. The "C" clamp that holds it all on the showerhead pipe just isn't up to the job, and the suction cup gizmo at the bottom leaves it able to swing on the mount bar axis. The result is a caddy that is precarious at best.

I felt uneasy about it as soon as I put it in. About a week later, I turned around in the shower and bumped the caddy. Sure enough, the whole thing came crashing down. I thought better of putting it back up, because I'm not interested in it falling again and chipping the enamel on a new tiled in tub. This week it will go out in the recycling bin. Perhaps someone else can use it to make something that is actually useful. This is not what you want.
