Moen 3867 Four Function Massaging Handshower with Slide Bar, Chrome

I recently installed this handheld shower and, for the most part I am pleased. Two design features which could be improved the attachment that holds the shower head is angled horizontally, it would be more serviceable if it were angled down somewhat. Also, the release button to slide the shower head up and down the bar is on the back of the attachment which puts it right next to the wall which is not ideal.

I have had this unit in service for almost a month now. It has been working fine and adjusts easily. You must add $30 and order the drop ell or you will not have the nice looking fitting as pictured at the wall end of the hose. It is a nice looking fixture but mostly plastic. I will not be surprised if the swivel slide piece gives me trouble later. This head replaced another handheld Moen head that didn't have the slide bar. I miss the old head; it seemed like more on any setting and this one all the settings are subtle. Contradicting my opinion, my wife prefers the spray and pattern of this head however. When I compare the price to the item I feel like this unit is overpriced, all I can do is cross my fingers and hope I get many years out of it. I noticed many people having trouble with pointing the head downward prior to my purchase. Those people have not installed the unit correctly. Look at the picture and notice the head is beside the pole NOT in front of it. I give this four stars because my wife is happy with it, it works as designed and looks great. I am tempted to rate it lower because of the separate $30 ell and the overall price of the plastic product but maybe I'm being a tightwad, you decide.

I purchased this item to replace a standard shower head in a bathroom used by my 7-yr old and 4-yr old kids. The slide arm is metal and solid. The shower head moves easily up and down the slide arm and stays in position when the shower is on. The water flow through the shower head is sufficient. Installation took about 30-45 minutes requiring a drill and screw driver, nothing tricky or fancy. I recommend the shower because it's exactly what it says it is and performs well.

Great price for a Moen. I love the slide bar so I can lower the shower head to keep my hair dry and it was easy to install. I highly recommend it!

I read all the reviews before buying this shower head. I was looking for something that would fit my family (different heights and needs), provided different settings, looked good. After carefuly reading all the reviews, I decided to buy this Moen shower head. It looks gorgeous on my newly renovated bathroom (contractor installed it wothout a problem) and it fits my family's different needs. It adjust to different heights and also dettaches to be used for other purposes. The water settings are very nice as well.

The only thing is that I had to buy the bathtub set, even though I didn't need the head. Also, after reading that the valve suggested by amazon didn't work, I decided to let the contractor buy it locally at a retail store where they know the item and its parts. I'd say this is the only downsize of buying these types of items from amazon. You're going blind and in this case it can be a very expensive proposition as once the title is installed you can't remove the valve. So do your homework before buying!
