This is a beautiful dish. I actually ordered it as a 'jewelry dish' but returned it, with no problems, because it had an elevated ring in the bottom of it to keep a bar of soap from getting stuck to this bottom of the dish. This simply was not mentioned or visually shown in the description when I ordered it. But, as a simple but classy soap dish, it would be great.
