Umbra Casa Tissue Box Cover

If you're looking for a tissue box cover/holder for the purpose of weighing down the box, you should look elsewhere. I bought the Umbra Casa tissue box cover because I needed something that could keep my tissue box down while I lifted a tissue from my nightstand. It won out among all the other surely heavier covers because I loved the way it looked. This cover is made of very light plastic, and you will still need your other hand to hold it down while you remove a tissue.

I really don't like the way that store-bought tissue boxes look and the ones that are "arty" or have wild designs (Kleenex came out w/some fruit slices one time and I loved them) are more expensive, so I prefer to buy tissue in bulk and disguise it. We have modern decor, some vintage, some repro and this is nice, I love the color. The tissue comes out of the top like a little puff of smoke, it's funny. It's plastic and will be easy to clean and I don't have to worry about it breaking. This is an inexpensive, fun way to display those cardboard eyesores and always have a tissue in reach!

This is super cute and I love the idea of this tissue box cover! The only thing is that it's difficult to get the tissues out. The plastic it is made of is not weighty enough to stay grounded when you go for a tissue. Maybe the chimney should be on the top of the roof..... I don't know..... But it sure is cute!:)

I've seen those tissue boxes that lie on their sides, and I have actually tried putting my own tissue boxes on their sides, but you still need to hold them to get the tissues out properly. I turned this one on its side, but it also slides around. I'm going to put rubber feet on it to make it stable, then the tissues will come out without my holding the box. I like the narrower opening because it is easier to get out a single tissue.

I love love love the way this box cover looks. I just wish it had a bottom to it. SO many times I have grabbed it from the sides to move it and the tissue box comes out the bottom. Kind of annoying. I am going to try and big it somehow.
