I am rarely this impressed. Very good product. If they would make a metal levered one for the kitchen, I'd say perfect product.

This product gets an absolute thumbs-down, as does the Simplehuman company. After purchasing this, I discovered that two of the soaps I put in it (one a thin soap, the other quite thick) leaked slowly but continuously. The reservoir would empty out and leave a pile of dried soap on the counter under the pump.
I complained to the company, and they exchanged the pump units. The new pumps had exactly the same problem. After doing this routine twice, I decided that the problem wasn't a defective product, but a defective design.
At that point, I sent the unit back to the company for a refund. Two months later (!) I received an email stating that since I had purchased the product at Amazon rather than from them, they could only offer me a credit rather than a refund. Of course, I could have returned it to Amazon, if I hadn't had my time wasted exchanging pump units.
Way to "stand behind your products" Simplehuman! Lame.I have used these for about 4 months, the soap comes out really smoothly, and they perform just as they did when I got them. The item was easy to stick onto the wall of my shower with the included glue and make dispensing my soap, shampoo, and conditioner super convenient.
They are very easy to refill, just pop off the large top, and are reasonably high quality, the best out there anyway. But, hey, when was the last time simple human disappointed?
And if you ever need a replacement part they send them out no questions asked!

We did some research and found that the company stated they would be suitable for a commercial installation, so we purchased several for the restrooms at a small performing arts venue. These units are beautifully designed, and look great on the wall. However, they are not durable and break continually. The design is such that it is very easy for the entire soap container to "launch" off the part that is attached to the wall, resulting in a mess of spilled soap (because the top does not screw on) or even worse, a shattered acrylic container. We've had several of the trigger mechanisms snap off, which are impossible to repair, so then the entire unit must be replaced. These are NOT subject to an enormous quantity of users. To give you an idea of usage, one refill of soap in a unit would last 2 months. We were not satisfied with Simple Human's response to our difficulties with their products, so we have removed all of them from our property and returned the two most recent defective units to Amazon.
Amazon's customer service and return policy is, as always, superb.
