Our bathroom is very small so this saved us the needed space by the toilet. It accommodates normal size rolls so there is no issue there. It looks good and very tailored.

We recently covered our ancient bathroom wall tile with acrylic panels and replaced the tile recessed toilet paper holder with a recessed plastic toilet paper holder. The plastic holder was the same size as the tile holder, making replacement easy. Although made of plastic, our new holder seems sturdy and recesses almost flush with the wall. Other recessed holders we considered stuck further out from the wall. Had we known in advance that this company also makes in-wall bathroom storage cabinets, we would have purchased one.
