I bought this towel rack (in satin nickel) three years ago here on Amazon. Today as I placed a towel back on it, one of the "arms" seemed bent, so I wiggled it -and it broke off. The arm is welded to the main pole, and apparently the weld isn't that strong. It would have been better if the arms penetrated into the pole to hold them there as opposed to just being basically glued on, albeit with welding.
Rather than buying another one of these, I opted for a simliar one -Gatco 1506 Floor Standing S Style Towel Holder, Satin Nickel -hoping it will be a little longer-lasting.
So I reviewed several before purchasing this one and decided to go with this one because of the height and the one review. This is very sturdy & well worth the money. It's puts together extremely easy, It needed a little man power to twist into position so there was no loosening down the road, but as far as just basic putting together, very easy. It looks so good in my bathroom. The arms swivel, but only when you want them to, meaning they aren't too loose. I love this towel valet! Hopefully no rusting later, but I will write another review if this happens. I've only had a couple weeks
