After purchasing this, I discovered that two of the soaps I put in it (one a thin soap, the other quite thick) leaked slowly but continuously. The reservoir would empty out and leave a pile of dried soap on the counter under the pump.
I complained to the company, and they exchanged the pump units. The new pumps had exactly the same problem. After doing this routine twice, I decided that the problem wasn't a defective product, but a defective design.
At that point, I sent the unit back to the company for a refund. Two months later (!) I received an email stating that since I had purchased the product at Amazon rather than from them, they could only offer me a credit rather than a refund. Of course, I could have returned it to Amazon, if I hadn't had my time wasted exchanging pump units.
Way to "stand behind your products" Simplehuman! Lame. This unit looks good at first, but within a few months of using ordinary liquid soap, the pull mechanism on the dispenser broke completely off and it can't be repaired. At nearly $50, this is so cheaply made. Had the same problem with another Simplehuman countertop soap dispenser. This brand is junk.

My wife wouldn't let me mount my old white plastic dispenser in the new shower. This one looks very nice and she approved it. Easy to mount with the attached double-stick tape and included silicone glue. They're easy to fill when mounted but hard to fill outside the shower. My old dispenser used to unclip and stand up by itself on the sink counter so I could fill it. These dispenser units are easy enough to unclip for outside cleaning and filling, but they will not stand up anywhere, and I have to balance them at an angle in an old coffee mug if I want to fill them outside the shower.
Also, you'll need to clean them regularly to avoid the water spots that the finish too-obviously reveals.
One minor disappointment was the loose feeling of the dispensers against the mounting plate. They shake and rattle a little bit when you touch them or dispense from them. I would have expected a high-end product to be better designed so that they snap in securely (which they do) and feel stationary (which they don't). However, I still highly recommend them and give them the highest rating.I purchased 2 of these twin wall mount pumps for our shower, and we've now had them for a year. They look fantastic, are easy enough to refill, and the brackets were easy to attach and have held firmly in place without any slipping or loosening. However, we've had 3 negative issues.
First, the dispensers do not lock into the bracket, so it's possible to knock them out, which we've done twice sending the dispenser crashing to the tub floor. One time we got lucky, but the other fall broke the clear plastic part, and we had to replace it. But, unless subject to an upwards knock, they're held in place very tightly, and don't wobble during normal use.
Secondly, out of the 4 dispensers, 2 of the levers have broken off, making them completely unusable. Oddly, they were not the ones used most often.
Finally, the stainless steel portion has rusted quite pronounced on the front of 2 of the dispensers, and lightly around the edges on the others.
I've just sent a request to Simplehuman for replacements, and my overall satisfaction of this product will depend on their customer service.

I purchased this during the weekend and installed it yesterday. This morning I found an empty shampoo container and an entire bottle of shampoo covering the shower floor. I've contacted simplehuman via their website so we'll see if they support it and if so I'll consider revising this review.UPDATE: I got a replacement at the store and it's working fine now. But the initial quality control would make me think twice.
