Gatco 1476 Shower Caddy with Brass Finish

The quality of this shower caddy is exactly what I have been looking for. It is much more robust then those you can buy in a bath store, and it will not rust because it is solid brass, and not brass-plated. However, there are a few issues: If you use the included wall mounting knob, the install instructions say to use a 3/16" drill bit, but that size is actually too small for the included wall anchor. Also, since the caddy does not come with any way to anchor the bottom of it to the wall (such as suction cups), the caddy sways back and forth as you remove heavy items from it (such as a large, shampoo bottle).

Very well made product--not flimsy or poorly plated like the ones I found in stores. Just measure carefully--my shower head is quite large and the top basket ended up way too close to it to be useful--I removed it to make things work better because I really didn't need both baskets anyway. Whould probably work better with a standard size shower head. But I would definitely recommend it if you want a very well made product that is reasonably priced compared to others available in the brass finish.

The quality of the material appears to be good (only time will tell if it corrodes), however the unit needs suction cups to keep it level and a better method for keeping it up on the shower arm, it kept slipping down. I finally had to drill a hole in the tile and use the auxiliary brass knob. Shelves need "cut-outs" to hold shampoo bottle upside down.

Thought that a more expensive caddy described as "enduring" might last longer than the cheap looking chromed versions. It did last a bit longer than the cheap varieties and looks better but still corroded.
