This tp holder is great. It's hinged and you just pull up one side and slip the old roll off and the new one on. We had one of the "open" hook type of tp holders but if you bumped the roll of paper it often shot off the holder onto the floor. This one holds the roll securely but is also fast and easy to use when you need to replace the roll. Much better than the spring-loaded old fashioned tp holders.

I replaced a traditional spring-loaded roller shaft TP holder with this pivoting one. This pivoting holder was easy to install, is very solid, and the roller shaft pivots on the left support. When it is in its for-use position, the right side fits beautifully into a set of grooves so there is no wobble or looseness for this important bathroom fixture. The new device is life-changing. Before getting this holder, bathroom users would carefully measure remaining sheets so as to NOT be the one to empty the roll and therefore have to replace it. Now, there are no arguments, and an annoyance has been eliminated. Now, onto the crabgrass.

Sometimes it's the little things that make a person soooo happy. If someone had told me that a pivoting toilet paper holder would make me giddy, I would have thought them crazy. First, I had to find a toilet paper holder that would accommodate those really big rolls. It also had to have a satin nickel finish (see my review of the Moen Kingsley toilet tank lever). Last, since I am swapping out all the original builder-basic faucets, towel racks, etc., I had to like all the other pieces in the product line as well. The Moen Kingsley line fit all my specifications. The tools needed to install are basic, as are the installation instructions. The template is a long piece of paper that includes placement for all the towel racks, t.p. holder and the glass shelf in the Kingsley line. Since I own a laminatinator, I ran the paper through it to give it more "body"; that is, so it would stay flat on the wall while I held it. Also, there is no plastic in this product line; these pieces are all metal. As is usually the case, Amazon has the best price on the Moen Kingsley product line.

I am embarassed to say this but I REALLY LOVE this! This is by far the BEST toilet paper holder I have ever used. I sadly love changing the roll. It is very solid and constructed beatifully. It is genius I don't know why all toilet paper holders do not function like this! I installed this about 6 months ago and I still love it!

I did a TON of research on fixtures and accessories for our new bathroom and I am very happy I settled on the Moen Kingsley line. It's very tasteful from a design standpoint and very well made. It's not the cheapest but I'd rather pay a little bit more and get a high quality fixture that I don't have to worry about replacing. Installation is straight forward and takes less than 5 minutes.

The design of this holder is just ingenious! After you use it you'll be mad that any other design even exists.

My only gripe, and it's a small one, is that some of the set screws have worked loose and required re-tightening. After one tightening job I've never had to go back, though, so to me it's still a 5-star product. I can highly recommend the Moen Kingsley line!
