I bought this shower caddy (twice) at my local hardware store. It has a beautiful design (to me anyway compared to many others I've looked at & owned over the years). Very functional, sleek, great looking chrome finish & a fantastic price but started to show RUST SPOTS in about 6-8 months. It was cheap enough & I liked the design well enough that I bought a 2nd one. THIS TIME, I'm trying spraying it w/ Rustoleum CLEAR GLOSS SPRAY (paint dept) before I use it to see if it'll last longer.UPDATE JAN 2011: RUSTOLEUM CLEAR GLOSS SPRAY still working GREAT! No evidence of rust spots AT ALL. Maybe time for another coat. lol Caddy was cheap enough ($16.99 locally at the time) that the extra $4-5 bucks for a can of clear spray paint was well worth it. The MANUFACTURER, however, should really consider adding a clear coat themselves at the factory. It would give them a "really" good product at a still-reasonable cost, even if it raises the price a couple bucks. Most of the nicer chrome shower caddies go for $30+.
