I just purchased this item at a retail store (for 1/2 the Amazon price believe it or not!) & I'm very pleased with it. It's well constructed, made of very thick & durable acrylic/plastic & it's visually appealing as well (it's a white acrylic that is layered with a clear acrylic giving it an expensive look...not cheap looking plastic at all). When you're working with very little counter space it's always a good idea to create as much vertical storage as possible & this little gizmo does the trick (it'd be great in a cabinet too). I have a tiny bathroom & always find myself knocking my small bottles off onto the tile floor (not great when they're glass!) I'm happy to say that I no longer have to worry about that since they are all now safely contained in this storage tray. It swivels nicely but is not too loose as to cause a problem & the trays are nice & deep, about 1.5 inch. It's nice that you can swivel the trays around to suit your needs without affecting the balance of the product. If you needed it to be taller you can actually hook together 2 sets & you would have a 6 tiered piece...the trays sit atop each other on the "ring holder" spike. For my uses I don't need the ring holder piece & find it a bit awkward sticking up there but nothing that would detour me from purchasing the product again. As for long term durability I can't say much since I just purchased it...I would assume from looking at it that it will last a long time as long as it is treated right. Though it is durably built I would venture to say that it would probably crack if it were to take a fall off of a high counter onto a hard floor. It's easy to clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth & you're done. All in all I give it an A+, I would definitely recommend this item to anyone & will be on the look out for another white one at the price I found it...they only had one left :(
