When the plastic pump in my dispenser began to pump liquid out the bottom and onto the sink rim, I pumped hot water through the unit to make sure that the spout was not creating too much pressure on the pump. I took it apart and inspected the internals and decided that the pump must need replacement (as described in the instructions).

The response I received from Grohe indicated that "We no longer have replacement parts for this model. We have re-designed it. You would have to purchase 28751SD1."

Guess what; I don't have to purchase a new dispenser from Grohe. I'm replacing it with a dispenser from a different manufacturer. This is an expensive, heavy unit that the manufacturer should offer replacement plastic internal parts for. Otherwise, what value does a "Lifetime Warranty" provide. It did pump liquid soap for more than six years, but a unit of this caliber should be serviceable for a lot longer than six years.

Selected stainless steel but was sent chrome. Did not bother to return as I noticed it didn't match the faucet after I had spent the time to install it. Then noticed it was chrome on box description when I had ordered stainless steel. Also, the picture did not match what I got. Received the newer version of the Deluxe XL Soap Dispenser when picture showed the same one I was trying to replace. Whole purpose of my order was so I didn't have to redo the install & just plug the unit in as old pump was faulty. But instead new, I had to redo complete install as it was so drastically different. Just wanted a working pump after all that...and it works for the last few months.

I used this to replace my old Grohe dispenser that didn't work , it lasted 7 years , i love the product , improved a lot from the older one , I would recommend it but would take off one star for the price
