My suggestion is pick a new head that has a metal braided hose.Extremely pleased with this shower head. It is easy to change the spray types and has great water output. Was simple to install. Would definitely purchase again!I don't know why I waited so long to replace the shower head in our Master bath? This shower head has much better water pressure then the one it replaced. I'm not surprised, I've had good experiences with Delta products. The flow restrictor keeps the flow down and the shower spray soft all fine if you live in the city and pay through the nose for a gallon of water. But I live on a farm and my water only costs me the electricity to pump it from my well. If the flow restrictor was removable I'd be happier, but it isn't and I'm not.
However, the fit and finish are first rate! Well water is not processed like city water and mine is a bit 'hard' (minerals and such) and most shower heads end up discolored or clogged. The spray jet nozzles are made out of rubber and simply moving them with your fingertip un-clogs them and so far the finish is like new. And the hose is slightly longer than any previous handhelds I've had.
Pros: great finish; easy clean; looks like a very expensive shower head
Con: the hose was difficult to straighten after unpackingI have 5 dogs to bathe, and each one retreats to the back of the tub in the process. This unit has a 6-ft hose, so now I can complete baths without having to constantly pull dogs to the front of the tub. Only con is that the shower head is heavy and bulky, requiring lots of repositioning of grip. Overall, it's the best handheld I've ever used.
