Birillo Soap Dish by Piero Lissoni

My wife was initially skeptical on why we needed a new soap dish for our bathroom when we already had one. The old one, however, is simply a dish with no holes or pores for the excess water to drip though, which allows the soap to literally stew in its our juices and melt. Typically that dish would have months worth of soap scum that I'll eventually have to burn away with hot water in order to clean it.

This one, haven't had to clean it yet, and best part is the soap has lasted longer than its predecessors. We get to save on the amount of soap we use and it allows the soap bar to retain its shape far longer. The color and shape of the Birillo is excellent as it fits our bathroom's color scheme very well. Would recommend this, but only for one's own restroom as it's too nice to give to the occasional guest to use.

I was skeptical at first about spending $35 on a soap dish. but I did get a few other products from this company already and they were phenomenal. I have the cotton round holder and the q-tip holder so I was very hopeful about this product as well. it is THE best. the soap never "swims" in water, its easy to get rid of the water that is in the dish, the soap scum, for some reason, does not build up on the metal grid. it looks like new each time I shower. I don't know what the secret is but I am sold and I may get another one for our other bathroom. highly recommend
