Allure Home Creations Awesome Owls Resin Soap Dish

This soap dish is not designed to get wet, the paint in the top of mine has all come off. This started happening shortly after getting it. I guess it's not designed for real use, because when you return a bar of soap to the dish it is wet.

I previously wrote a glowing review three months ago when I purchased this soap dish. In less than three months, the green paint is flaking off where the soap sits. This is very disappointing as only the wet soap (Dial soap) touches this and the soap is not dripping wet. One would think this company would not use a water soluble paint without a waterproof finish for an item meant for use with soap. Soon the entire surface of the green leaf will be white as the entire green surface has bubbled up and will flake off soon. Incidentally, the brown paint on the matching soap/lotion dispenser is also beginning to flake off and it has not gotten wet. I would not recommend either product if one plans to use them for their desired purposes.

This is a good size dish not too small not too big. However after a bit of use (about 6-8 weeks) we noticed the green finish coming off the leaf where the soap sits. I still use it and it looks cute. After all the soap sits on the other part.

My daughter loves owls, so this is the perfect soap dish for her bathroom! It is difficult to find actual soap dishes for bar soap any more. Sometimes, soap dishes come with multiple parts where water can get inside and mildew, but this is one piece and easy to clean. The raised "veins" in the leaf are intended to keep the bar soap out of any water collected, but if the soap is very soft then it might still get a bit "soggy" on the bottom. Overall, I like it.
