this product looks good and is sturdy when fastened into studs. the end covers are not tight so the screws and underside of the end caps are starting to rust a little when used in the bathroom with all of the moisture

Excellent, quality product that provides support and beauty to our shower. The oil rubbed bronze matched our existing fixtures. The covers hide the mounting screws. It is best to silicon the outside of the mounting covers to keep water from contacting the mounting screws.

I actually was looking for an 18" but couldn't find one so choose the 16". I bought two for getting in on one side and out of the other side of the tub/shower. I don't really need the assistance yet but wanted it available if and when I do. We also put in a 36" grab bar (wanted 32") on the back wall of the tub/shower, this I do use to assist when shaving my legs. The chrome matches our Toto vanity and shower fixtures well but feel I have to wipe them down after each shower to keep the water spots off. I saw a rubberized version on the back side of some grab bars but these have groove indents that conform to your hands and work well also. I had blocking put in by my contractor between the studs so when everything was put in it had a good strong fastening. The price was reasonable and shipped very fast.
