when we moved recently we found our shower is nowhere near any place with wall space for a towel bar. so i hunted literally for months to find somethingmostly for lack of knowing what this thing was called. i didnt want any of the little hutch units because i didnt want to clutter up floor space.but i finally found this. this particular item has a really nice weight and height. it doesnt tip or teeter when only one towel -wet or dryis on. and it doesnt tip when you yank a towel off. it only takes a small section of space for the base to sit.
the only thing negative i could say if i was forced to nitpick, would be when u take a towel off the ring stays up instead of going bback in place itself. this might just be my specific unit though and i havent tried anything to fix it at all.
this item is pretty pricey, but it was completely perfect for what needed. and despite the scarey looking packaging it came in, it is a nice, sturdy, quality item.
