I was remodeling a bathroom and replacing old plastic and ceramic hardware. I was wanting a traditional look and rugged hardware. This tissue holder looks good, but I don't have high hopes for its longevity. Installation appears easy, but the design is not very forgiving. I used the template to drill the holes but must have been slightly off. When pivoting the center bar into it's resting place for the first time, the fit was snug, and it tore part of the plastic that forms the cradle/support.The whole set is solid and beautiful. The toilet paper roll just lifts on one end and you slip the toilet paper on and drop it back in place. You don't lose any parts anymore. You do have to squeeze a double roll for it to get on. I was worried about how it would work, but the Clarendon Collection is extremely well made.
