InterDesign Reo Powerlock Suction Towel Bar

We put it up, and hung a regular bath towel on it ~ not even a large bath towel ~ and the thing fell from the weight and BROKE! I am VERY disappointed!

I purchased this product after reviewing the product dimensions because I wanted a towel rod to place a bath mat on while not in use. According to the dimensions, it is supposed to be 17.8 inches long, this is wrong as it is barely 12 inches. The product itself seems poorly made, but it is still clinging to the wall as of right now. I will be looking for a longer rod that perhaps could be attached to it in the future.

This was a poorly made item. The flimsy weld that connected the bar to the suction cups broke when I tried to hang the bar. Never used it once. Don't waste your money.

I'd give this ZERO stars if I could.

I'll just reiterate the previous reviewers main comments, so that we can bring the rating down still lower on this piece of junk and prevent anyone else from being ripped off.

The first problem is that it wasn't well thought out, so on many folks' tiled surface, it's going to hit a grout line, and be difficult to install.

But the even bigger problem is that it is incredibly cheaply made. Even if you get it to install, there is a high probability that it won't last you more than a couple of weeks if you aren't extremely delicate in how you handle it. The bar itself is "welded" with two tiny spot welds, which will break free with the tiniest of force. This renders your towel bar completely useless, save for the half that falls to the floor.

This is best used as a baton with which you can smack yourself repeatedly in the forehead for being dumb enough (like me) to buy this.
