I agree that it is disappointing for this thing to be plastic... would it cost that much more to make it out of metal? Anyway, there's no point arguing since this is the only option... how else can you connect your Hansgrohe shower? It looks fine and works fine, I just hope I don't need to mess with it because it's brittle.

I bought this to go with the hand shower. For the price, it should be made of metal it is plastic! 2 stars.

Looks good, although don't know how long this will last.

I did also get the brushed nickel hose connector. If you've invested in Hansgrohe fixtures, the hose is definitely worth it. It looks great with all of the other brushed nickel hardware.

This is the second time I have used this outlet.

It is great to mount mid wall to allow easy spray of your feet ( we live near a beach)

The first time I used this I had an issue with the chrome wearing off the plastic after about 5 years.

I called customer service and they replaced it, no charge!

Yes it's made from ABS plastic... it is not THAT brittle as a previous shopper stated. The silver finish is pretty durable too but it does seem pretty cheap but you get what you pay for...

Easy to install, snaps onto a supplied rubber disk. Looks real nice on my wall.
