I ORDERED 2 OF THESE AND FEEL THE PRODUCT IS WELL MADE AND ASSEMBLY TO THE WALL FRAMING WAS SIMPLE. HOWEVER, THE 1/2" THICK FLANGE IS TOO THICK FOR HARDIBACKER CEMENT BOARD. THOUGH SOLD AS 1/2", HARDIBACKER IS ACTUALLY .42" WHICH CREATES PROBLEMS WITH THE LIP OF THE NICHE PROTRUDING .08" HIGHER THAN THE BOARDS AROUND IT. IT TOOK SEVERAL STEPS OF BUILDING UP THE BOARD WITH THINSET TO BRING IT FLUSH WITH THE FLANGE FACE AND YOU NEVER GET A TRULY FLAT SURFACE. IT ENDS UP BEING SORTA SHAPED LIKE A PYRAMID WHICH MAKES SETTING TILE AROUND THEM AND KEEPING THEM FLAT A PROBLEM.

We had never seen anything like this, but after my husband easily installed them, we LOVE them! Perfect size for us!

I used this product to install a niche in my shower. Worked out well, looks nice. I used a combination of mesh, tile, and bull nose to cover and seal this and it works fine. Very much worth the price and arrived on time and worked well.
