This is really important. Grab bars MUST be attached to studs. but if you look at most grab bars, they are pre-drilled with holes that in no way can fit in a 2x4 stud. After much research I found that MOEN has the holes slotted so you can get 3 screws into a stud either straight on or on an angle. Also, the price from Amazon is much cheaper than any store front I have seen. Completely recommended. I'll most likely keep these up even after my rehab is over.

This grab bar is the same as that which is sold by Loew's, but at a better price. Also, the Loew's near me did not have much stock. At Amazon I could buy the nice "brushed nickel" look with no problem.

It is sturdy, good looking, and perfect for getting in and out of the shower.

Just installed this to help folks get into and out of our shower. (Previously folks were grabbing the towel rack!)

The adjustable mounts allow you to place 3 screws into a stud, however the screws provided are poor quality. The heads rounded off during the driving in process. I tossed the screws and used rustproof deck screws instead. The tork head on the deck screws allowed better purchase when drilling them into the studs. This product would get a 5 star if it used better quality screws.

I purchased three of these grab bars for use within a small shower and adjacent to the stool for a friend. I found the quality of the product was good, but most importantly, the selection of holes through which the bars can be attached to the framing was very good. Finally, the attaching screws and washers were very good withstanding the impact driver force without rounding the corners. The covers snapped right into place after all was attached. I'm very pleased with the design and construction.
