Grohe 27 085 EN0 Rainshower Hand-Held Shower Head, Infinity Brushed Nickel

When my old shower head broke, I thought I'd splurge and go for a nice one. Unfortunately, this was not a nice one. The settings go from 'weak' watering can to concentrated single spray to leaky garden hose. All of which require you to stand directly under the shower head, even if you angle it. Sadly disappointed. Returned it and bought a $50 Moen Inspire 5 setting shower head. Much happier with the sprayer. And the price.

I wanted a rainshower hand-held shower head, and this product is a perfect solution. It is very well made and provides a wide, even flow of water. The adjustment for other spray types is smooth and the water pressure is fine.

This is the shower head only; you will need to buy the hose and coupling separately.

The opening is a standard 1/2" male threaded end. While there are hoses available from Grohe, much less costly options are available. I used this on the hose and hardware from my former shower unit (also bought on Amazon): Waxman 8679200 5-Spray Distinctives Handheld Showerhead, Chrome. I wrapped the male end in teflon plumbers tape. So far, I have not seen any leaks.

If you don't mind the price, this shower head is a very good product.

We've been using our Grohe Rainshower Han-held Shower Head for 6 months now and have enjoyed the soothing rainshower feel and effect. It provides a nice wide swath of spray that feels almost soft and soothing to the skin. Installation was a breeze to our existing Grohe system. The actual housing of this item, however is made of plastic which initially seemed rather cheap, but was not a 'deal breaker' for us as it does make it much lighter in weight to hold in the 'hand held' function. We demoted 1 star for the price point as we felt that it was a bit overpriced even through Amazon.

I was so excited to see a large hand-held shower that I decided to splurge on this. It looked nice, attached easily and did not leak. Other than that, it was really disappointing. I will try to upload photos but with the exception of the massaging option, the water streams were so weak you have to stand under the shower head the water doesn't project out at all (this was after removing the flow restricter) I happened to be at Menards and found a Conair one for a fourth of the price. It's the same size and works great.

I must admit this is the best shower head I have ever purchased. I purchased this one and a much more expensive Moen, this one beat the other hands down. I would definitely would buy this shower head again. The pressure is very good, unlike most rain showers.
