great towel bar, I actually needed a smaller bar for a tight place, this was easily cut down to fit where I needed it

I was seeking a cheap towel bar for "doggie" towels on our back porch door. The one we had previously was welded together. It was cheap and did not last under its dual duty. we live up in mountains and we get some very strong winds here. The regular handle on the handle/latch assembly of the door is too small to easily grab and hold onto to keep the door from slamming open on the door closer when we get a good "blow" and open the door caught off guard. This towel bar will serve that purpose too as a grab and hold the door bar, as well as holding "doggie" towels, and it is attractive enough to use in the bathroom or kitchen (unlike our old "not much cheaper" towel bar). Highly recommended budget purchase that doesn't look cheap.

NOTE: This towel bar is 3 pieces, the two bar holders that you mount, and the bar. The bar has to be held between the ends when the ends are being mounted. The bar is not a "drop in". (Just in case you were wondering as the photo view is not absolutely clear.) The cardboard the towel bar is mounted on has a template for the position to drill holes so other than being concerned about a level installation, installation is a "piece of cake".

The bar itself is extruded, nice and smooth on all 4 sides. However, my husband suggested that I edit this review. This is a towel bar. I bought it for a towel bar. It will hold towels of any weight, but he felt it was necessary that I add that the bar (only) is aluminum so it could not be used as a "grab bar". Duh!
