Steeltek Minar Bath Accessory

After reading several reviews I finally realized they were reviewing the soap dispenser, not this little toothbrush holder. This is very nice toothbrush holder and goes with our newly remodeled bathroom with brushed nickel bath faucets/lavatory faucets. Very simple, easy to clean, and takes up so very little space on the countertop. Would buy the toothbrush holder again in a second, if I ever needed to do so.

Well, when I was considering this dispenser, I noticed that several people had received one that leaks. I decided to take my chances to my chagrin. The dispenser seems to be of good quality, is fairly heavy weight, and the spring action on the pump itself works very nicely. But it has a very odd construction in that underneath it, on the bottom, there is a round piece of soft rubbery type material. It looks like something glued on to prevent slipping, but soap actually leaks either around or through that piece. Very odd. I've already ordered something to replace it, after 3 days. Too bad.

I've had this soap dispenser for a few months now and am already looking for a replacement. When the soap comes out, there are usually black flecks (I assume it's paint) and opaque blue gunk (not dried soap) mixed in the soap. I'm guessing the blue gunk is the soap reacting with something in the dispenser. That has never happened with this soap before. I'd recommend ANY other dispenser than this one. The stuff that comes out with the soap makes you feel like the soap isn't actually cleaning your hands.

I ordered this product thinking it was completely dark, but it had slight streaks of reddish faux patina on the edges. Others may not like it, but I loved it!
