Moen TS4211BN Rothbury Moentrol Trim Kit without Valve, Brushed Nickel

Installed this faucet control. In all the published pictures it looks like the controls fit neatly into the recessed wallplate. They do not. The controls protrude 3/4 inch from the wall-plate surface and much more than this from the recessed area where you would think they fit. Looks clunky and ugly. Moen advised this is a known problem but no fix unless tear out shower pipes. Very misleading advertising.

There is nothing bad I could say about this product. It looks great and had no defects in it. The quality is good and it doesn't stain with water spots.
