The only reason we were shopping for a covered toilet paper roll holder is because our cat shreds toilet paper and we were desperate to stop him. There wasn't actually that much available that matched our decor and wasn't ridiculously expensive. This holder was not cheap, but it was the lesser of a few evils and it looks very nice. Happy to report, the cat has yet to figure out how to get past its defenses. So, 4 stars for quality, aesthetics, and serving its purpose; minus one for high price. I mean, it's a toilet paper holder for God's sake.

I purchased this mainly to keep one of my cats from having an 'un-rolling' party on the tp. Historically I'va had cats that only did that as a kitten and grew out of it but this one's 7 now and still thinks it great fun. So far so good that she hasn't figured out how to get to this one(she's since moved on to knocking the toilet paper holder over). It's a great quality and very stylish fiting in wiht my rubbed bronze other fixtures. It also holds the mega-rolls with no issue.
