Kingston Brass DTL101 Overflow Plate for Trip Lever Drain, Polished Chrome

The other day I went to close the drain on my tub and something snapped. Removing the old plate I found that the back of the lever had corroded to the point where it simply broke off.

I ordered this and had it installed in a matter of minutes.

The one thing I'll add is that I re-used the cotter pin to connect this part to the drain linkage. Had this pin been too worn it might have been a bit of extra work to rummage around in the garage for a pin that works. It would be nice if they included that in this kit.

The new cover looks great and works smooth, nothing fancy, just works.

I believe this is brass under the chrome plating. Not one of those zinc casting that eventually corrode out -like the one used by the contractor.

This is a solid piece and has weight to it. It looks very nice and does not look cheap at all. It was very easy to install too. I am happy with this product.
