I wanted a rain shower head that wasn't ridiculously expensive, didn't dribble weakly, and, well, just felt great.
Nice combination of pressure, coverage, and gentle rain-shower feel. Very well-made and nicely priced.
Single function is fine with me---massagers and multiple shower settings go unused in my house.
I also own an "Aussie-Style" rain shower head that comes on a 10" extension arm. We like that one, too. Floods you with gentle water, and you can stand directly under it. This one has a little more "oomph", but is still gentle.
The pattern & nozzle style (tips are soft rubber for easy cleaning)on the Kohler Bancroft and Fairfax head look the same---just different cosmetically. 5.5" head w/ 72 nozzles that are well-spaced to cover your body.
This is the head I was looking for---a nice, wide gentle shower at a decent price.

To put this review in context, I purchased this to replace a temporary $5 shower head that I picked up from Lowes. It was a temporary solution, so I searched amazon for a good shower head with both style and function, to provide a nice luxurious shower experience. I decided to purchase this Kohler shower head based on pretty solid amazon reviews. I always read both positive and negative reviews, and this shower head really seemed like a winner. So I was quite surprised to discover that this $55 shower head was actually a major step down from the $5 ugly one I've been using. The experience of this shower head can best be described as standing under a garden watering can, that's about to run out of water. The pressure is very weak and the streams are hair thin. I figured the flow reducer inside might be partly to blame, so I proceeded to take it out (which took 15 minutes in a tool shop, because unlike with most shower heads, the reducer in this one is really difficult to remove. It finally came out in pieces.) Unfortunately, it still did not improve the water flow or pressure by any meaningful amount. It appears the internal design of this shower head just does not permit a lot of water to go through it. I installed the other $5 shower head back, and wow, what a difference it made. All I can say is I just don't get why this was rated so highly. It's a below average shower that fails in direct comparison to basic ones you can pick up in any store. Having removed the flow reducer, I can no longer return this, and I wouldn't feel right installing this even in a guest bathroom. So it'll sit collecting dust, or might go straight to the trash can. If you want a good shower head, I'd advise to keep looking.Read Best Reviews of KOHLER K-10282-CP Forte Single-Function Showerhead, Polished Chrome Here
Love this showerhead. Water is strong enough to get shampoo out of your head and yet still gives the feeling of showering in the rain.Want KOHLER K-10282-CP Forte Single-Function Showerhead, Polished Chrome Discount?
I stayed at a high-end hotel recently and adored the in-room showerhead. Ever the sybarite, I loved the shower head's broad coverage and perfect pressurenot too strong a stream but not too light. I have long hair that can be tough to rinse properly with a low-flow showerhead, but this worked quickly and thoroughly. I also appreciated the functional simplicity of the design with no adjustment bars or fiddly parts. In Goldilocks' words it was "just right." I noted that the showerhead was available for purchase from the hotelier's e-commerce site. However, I'm also dollar-wise and with a little research found the same showerhead by Kohler on amazon for half the price. It was a snap to put on with a bit of teflon plumber's tape and worked like a charm. Every day may not be a vacation in a hotel, but this showerhead is a nice way to start the day.
