Japanese Kai La Beau Nail Clipper Cutter Large #1143

This nail clipper is made by Kai, the company that makes Shun knives, and is ultra sharp and cuts tough, thick nails easily. This large size, #1143, has a straight blade(no curve to it) and you can make smaller cuts on the corners if you wish or just use the small, but effective file attached. The handle part that is used to press down seems to be made of plastic, but it seems durable enough. The cutter also comes with a handy clippings catcher, but can be used without it if you prefer.

I bought this item for my thick nails. It does not open wider than a standard large drug store nail clippers, so it does not suit my purpose. The only essential difference is that its clipping edge is straight and not curved. I'm not sure that this is an advantage.

i was expecting a normal clipper but its ok, the size doesnt affect my review too much. its very sharp and slices through nails very quickly. it leaves a smooth, straight edge. it feels sturdy and well constructed, i feel like it will last a long time.
