Delta 75224-RB Victorian 24 Double Towel Bar, Venetian Bronze

I have installed 100's of towel bars and never seen one engineered to fail like this one. I have installed this thing three times today and it is JUNK! The styling is nice. I love it in fact, that is why I bought it. It was to replace a Kohler double towel bar. Well, there is about 1/16" play where the bars enter the mount attached to the wall so they WILL fall out. Using the template and level each time it fails, not enough of the bar enters the mount. They should give a lifetime warranty... it will never be used because the thing won't ever work long enough to break! Save yourself the trouble, buy a different brand.

Looks really nice, but poorly engineered. A single set screw on each end of the bar is all that keeps everything together. Both screws stripped before I got it assembled the first time. Replaced w/locally purchased set screws, which tightened down ok, but will not hold well enough to support the stresses from 2 large towels.

Very attractive, however, the front bar of the two bars tends to pop out too easily. It is quite far forward of the wall mechanism and this makes this forward part of the mechanism spread just enough to allow the bar to come out.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I ordered this towel bar, along with several other matching Delta accessories. They all install using the exact same technique, and I haven't had a bit of trouble with any of them. We hang two full-size bath towels on this bar and months later there's not a sign of weakening or instability. I use the screw-in type of dry-wall anchors for a secure mount. Absolutely no problems otherwise.

I liked the coordinating toilet roll holder so much then when I needed a towel holder, I purchased the matching towel bar, and opted for double because I always need more space to hang a towel. I like the product, unfortunately, the depth is too deep for the one space I have to hang it. I have kept it hoping I will think of something to do with it, but be mindful of space if your bathroom is "compact".
