It's what I expected, and I got a little lucky because I didn't want any kind of pad on the bottom and it doesn't have one. I'd just change two things. I'd make the ridges higher because the water that ends up in my dish can get deep enough to cause a globby soap trail when I take the soap. My previous plastic dish had deeper ridges and not as much of that problem. I actually wouldn't buy this dish if I knew about this problem (mostly caused by people in my household being a little messy), but I noticed that many other dishes have similar ridges so I'm not deducting much from my rating.
I'd also like two ridges on the bottom instead of the entire perimeter being flush against the sink because there's always water trapped under it. Second choice is four little feet. The reason I'd prefer ridges over feet is because if one foot goes over the edge of the sink, the dish would topple.
As someone else said, it's not shiny (I think that should be added to the description), but the finish is nice. It's not like it's poorly glazed.
