Umbra Boomba Bamboo Soap Dish

Good quality wooden soap dish at a price that is less then what you would pay for a cheap plastic one from Wal Mart.

The picture doesn't do this product justice at all. The dish is actually perfectly round, the depressed center area is uniformly carved, and the finish is a beautiful wood grained espresso color. I also have the "natural" or bamboo colored dish which matches the bamboo accessories in my other bathroom perfectly. I use these soap dishes as a saucer under my Method-brand liquid hand soap dispensers (the tall pump bottles with the round base). The dispenser fits perfectly and looks so polished.

I intentionally waited for awhile before writing a review for this product. I've had this for about 11 months now and couldn't be more satisfied with this product. Although the price seems a little steep for a soap dish, it is really well made. The dish is big, fits a standard bar of soap easily. Being a wooden dish, I was worried about the decay after months of use (hence holding off on writing a review). But even after high use, the soap dish has held up nicely. There's no decay, it doesn't absorb water, nor does it retain any odors. Plus the dish looks better than most any soap dishes out there.

I was looking for a brown soap dish and hated cheap looking plastic. This looks nice...bit bigger than I expected, but I guess it will hold even the largest bar of soap. Has not rotted on a wet counter top. Overall great, but I likely would not have purchased if I didn't have and Amazon gift card.
