for nearly 4 hours. It came sealed in the box without any assembly instructions. In fact the only
instructions that came with it were how to put a toggle bolt into drywall. Thanks but I have that skill. ALSO one of the set screws that help the towel bar plate secure to the wall plate was missing so I have been to Home Depot and Lowe's to try to find this little #10-24 set screw
that was missing. The manufacturers also included 2 machine screws for some unknown reason. What would've been nice would've been a template to place on the wall to mark the holes for the bar.
It is difficult to figure out where to place the holes for a mounting plate that attaches to the towel bar plates from the back side of the bar. BTW most of the American companies include this template....Like I told my wife--shoulda bought American goods! We recently moved into a new house that has no linen closet, so I've been trying to come up with nice ways to store my towels. One day it just hit me that I could store them hotel style, on a shelf. I ended up choosing this one because it matches my other towel racks (chrome, square brackets). I particularly like that the hanging towel rod isn't super obvious, so the shelf still looks nice even if you just stack on top of it.
The finish is nice and the shelf itself seems sturdy. It comes with your standard screws and anchors, and also some alternate screw device things that are meant to make it *very* sturdy, even if you can't hang it in a stud. I wasn't planning on putting more than a few towels on it, so I just put it in with the screws and anchors, the secondary bar seems like it gives good additional support.
It looks very attractive and modern in my bathroom, as well as providing much needed storage.
