I just purchased an apartment and re-doing the bathroom was one of the first things a tackled. I decided to try and create a spa like atmosphere in my relatively small bathroom. And let me tell you this mat delivers. It looks SO MUCH BETTER in person than on the picture! Each top planks has two groves going through it adding to the overall look.

The fact that it is raised off the floor allows for easy cleaning and no "wet" markings are left behind. Its sturdy and lightweight so it is easy to move out of the way when cleaning. Also there are rubber anti-slip nobs on the bottom.

Absolutely love this product! I'm a little surprised at some of the other reviews; of course it's not soft--it's made out of freaking bamboo, what did you expect? For someone who absolutely cannot stand stepping on a wet bath mat, this solved a serious problem. I never have to worry about a nasty, soggy bath mat that someone forgot to hang up to dry after taking a shower. It's comfortable, never slippery, and I've never encountered any issues with wobbling or whatever. It looks fantastic and I doubt I'll ever use a regular bath mat again.

Perfect size, good looking mat would be 5 stars, but mine wobbles! It's not too big of an issue, just a minor annoyance. It doesn't bother my (loveably) uptight husband, so it stays.

This item seems to be solidly built. We use it just outside of the shower, which is it's intended purpose, I believe (as opposed to living IN the shower.)

It's a simple thing, really, so there's not much to say. We have NOT encountered some of the issues that others complain about, such as loose planking or shoddy craftsmanship. The price is right and I appreciate its aesthetic.

My experience would indicate that you can buy with confidence.

If you truly want to use this as a bath mat I suggest purchasing two. The item is pretty. Keep it away from the door however because of its height. I ultimately placed this in the hall next to the bathroom and sat a potted palm on top of it.
