Life is so interesting. A long time ago I bought a plunger because every house needs at least one or it is time to clean the outhouse. Back then folks had mostly one choice: a wooden handled bubble-gum colored bulb plunger. Then it dry rotted and was replaced by a series of 4 different and unique plungers. Before purchasing the Simplehuman Toilet Plunger (STP) the 3 earlier ones were O.K. to really great but the Simplehuman is just at the top of the heap.

The STP took all the quality features of previous plungers and made the best yet. The top is a deal sealer. I will not mess my palm up attempting to use it with full force. It spreads the pressure outwards and eliminates that small, single point of pressure coming from the plunges. The cup is made from what appears to be a high quality rubber that should not wear out a quickly as a semi-hard plastic or other synthetic material. It comes with its own holder that keeps the plunger out of the way and off the floor. There is no way to disguise it not to look like a plunger but that remedy works well. The holder even has 4 tiny feet that keep the unit from sliding when placing or removing the plunger. One other quality addition is the magnet at the top of the holder that attracts the steel handle so that when lifting the plunger by the handle while in the holder the two stay together. Simply, that just keeps the two from making a potential mess.

Bottom line: This is a first class quality item and typical from every other product we bought from simplehuman and Amazon.

I love simplehuman products, but nkt only does this plunger not work well, it doesn't stay in the stand unless I spend several minutes "playing" with it to make it stand.

This plunger goes perfectly with my decor. Definitely the nicest one I ever purchased. Seems pretty sturdy. My favorite thing about it is the magnetic base. When I vacuum the bathroom floor all I have to do is pick up the plunger by its handle and the base comes up with it!

This is the greatest invention. The holder is simple, easy to clean, and best of all so easy to carry from room to room without the mess of toilet water everywhere! This is truly one of my best buys ever!

We have toilets that clog with just a bit too much paper which is annoying so you have to keep a plunger around. Thing is its unattractive and plus over time damages the wood floors. The solution is right here. The design is excellent and it hides nicely in the corner beside the toilet. I just wish it was cheaper but hey I am happy just the same.
