My husband and I are currently renovating two very small full bathrooms. I found reference to this rod and decided to order one (my husband had no opinion "How much of a 'space' difference would it really make?"). Well, I LOVE IT, and will be ordering another for the second bath. It operated a bit 'stiffly' the first few 'flips' of the rod (directly after installation, which was quite easy), but now works smoothly. As far as strength goes, I wouldn't hang too many heavy items on it (e.g.wet Turkish towels) let's face it, it's not designed to be a 60-in. towel bar! Used properly, it's sure to last a long time.
