This bar is wonderful. It is so strong when installed correctly! It is beautiful as well. The brushed nickel finish matches my bathroom fixtures.
The moen designer grab bar looks nice and is easy to install. My only concern is that there is a space around the 'cover plate' at each end where water could get into if this was in direct water contact. I probably would not install this inside a shower in direct water but for outside the tub/shower it looks and feels great.
I also like that fact that it is lower profile than some of the other grab bars that are out there.

If you buy this with the intention of installing it horizontally, you will not be able to install it using studs on both sides. The odd length of this bar can only be used on an angle so that it can be installed with studs on both sides. Unless you use it vertical. I wanted to use it horizontally but realized when the guy came to install that I could only use it angled. The bar itself is fine, we had a very hard time moving the dectorative caps back to mark the shower wall and attach the screws. We ended up calling Moen customer service and they told us to use a flat blade screw driver to move the covers back. They also mentioned that the instructions for this bar were lacking in detail.Save 30% Off
