I'm a convert from the roll-based holders of yesterday. It's so much easier to just slip the roll on than to deal with the springy insert. However, the hook (or upturn) at the end of this holder is not steep enough and sometimes the paper slides off the hook. With my other holder (Smedbo Loft series) the paper stays on nicely as the end is more angled. However, the Smedbo one cost twice as much ;-).

Installed this in bathroom according to instructions. Found that the angle of the holder is not correct and the roll comes off nearly all the time when used. Rest at slight negative angle, roll no longer flies off.

I have remodeled three bathrooms in our house and used Danze exclusively. The castings are excellent, the oil-rubbed bronze finish absolutely beautiful. Their customer service is absolutely wonderful. This item mounts very securely even in drywall. The one critique about the finish is that when exposed to hard water and not dried off, the finish can eat away from the water scale.
